The Latest of the Past Week

My dad has sent me two excellent links about the subject in the past week.

First, a Washington Post article on a scholar trying to find research the Bible was based on.

Second, a new poll about how many people don't believe in Evolution.

  • I read that poll info this morning and later in the day a student in one of my large psych lectures got quite upset about the prevalence with which my cognitive psych teacher references evolution. Luckily, my teacher defended his position by talking about the unique kinds of research that can be done in evolutionary psychology (unfortunately he didn't go too far into detail). Still, I have to wonder what percentage of the class remained unconvinced.
