I read that poll info this morning and later in the day a student in one of my large psych lectures got quite upset about the prevalence with which my cognitive psych teacher references evolution. Luckily, my teacher defended his position by talking about the unique kinds of research that can be done in evolutionary psychology (unfortunately he didn't go too far into detail). Still, I have to wonder what percentage of the class remained unconvinced.
